Easter Decorations

Finally, spring is on the horizon and we will soon be waving dark and gloomy days goodbye for another year. A much-needed home refresh is in order and what better way to start than with Easter

So, fill your home with touches of spring and get inspired by Easter celebrations. While we may not be able to celebrate Easter in the usual fashion this year, we can still make it special – try something new and get creative with our quick and easy Easter decoration ideas…

Decorate with wreaths and garlands

Freshen up your home and bring the outdoors in with gorgeous spring flower wreaths and eucalyptus garlands; whatever takes your fancy! Drape your mantelpiece for an instant spring feeling. If you are after the real thing, wildflowers are on trend right now, and are full of colour and beauty. As the daffodils, bluebells and tulips start to spring up, take the family on a nature walk and pick your flowers along the way to make beautiful bunches or select a few favourite  to pop in these elegant glass vases. Make sure you pick your flowers safely and not on protected or private lands.

Dried flowers are also popular right now. Why not learn with your little ones and make some dried flowers together? Visit Flying Flowers which explains three ways to make your own beautiful dried flower bouquets.

Decorate your door this Easter

We’ve learnt this year that wreaths are not just for Christmas and are gorgeous ways to bring a little excitement to your front door. We have several stunning wreaths to choose from. If you’re going with the traditional bunny theme we have this beautiful wooden bunny wreath or this spring foliage wire bunny - both come with pretty foliage and will look gorgeous hung anywhere. For pastel colours, choose this pastel egg wreath with flowers or for a simple look try this rosemary wreath.

How to make an Easter balloon arch

Balloons for Easter, why not? Balloon arches are fast becoming the most wanted decoration and our balloon arch kits make it easy for you to create your own at home. Our Easter Daisy balloon arch comes with 70 balloons in a mixture of pastel colours, and a variety of sizes, plus 6 Daisy cards to accessories your arch with..

Using a balloon pump, blow up the balloons to different sizes. Once all are inflated, pull the balloons through the holes in the balloon tape by the knot of the balloon. Arrange the balloons as desired across the balloon tape until full. Attach the included bunny ears and eucalyptus using glue dots and hang on the wall. Our pastel bunny balloon arch will make a great backdrop to your Easter meal or Easter egg hunt.

Decorate an Easter tree

If you didn’t get enough of a tree decorating fix during the Christmas period, get creative by decorating an Easter tree. Originating in Germany, the tradition of creating an indoor Easter tree is on the rise and we have all the items needed to make your own.

Take our white wire tree and place where you please. Then take our Easter tree decorations and hang them delicately on the branches. These floral egg decorations or felt egg decorations will both look gorgeous on your tree.

Don’t want to use a wire tree? Hang these decorative eggs on flowers or even the bushes in your garden. To get the kids involved, why not try our Easter egg painting kit for them to paint their own eggs? The kit comes with hanging threads for them to hang up themselves.

Decorating the Easter Table

With spring in the air, go for a soft palette for your tableware that will work well with existing white tableware and linen. Define each dining setting with a place card for each family member to make this Easter extra special. These bunny tail place cards will do nicely. Layer the dinner plates starting with a pastel-coloured plate at the base. Our simply eco scalloped plates are the perfect spring colours.

Pick a theme or colour and keep it in mind when laying the table.  Do you want to egg-cite your family with our Pastel Bunny? Featuring gorgeous bunny shaped plates, napkins, and gingham cups. Or do you want to go with the more sophisticated Flower Garden featuring floral plates with scalloped edges and flower shaped napkins?

Once you have your tableware set, bring in some spring flourishes to decorate your table. Our white blossom garland will look the part stretching across your table runner. As for hanging decorations, our lilac blossom chandelier or white wisteria foliage will look stunning hanging above your table.
