Celebrating a milestone birthday
Posted on May 12 2020
An important milestone birthday deserves to be celebrated in style, whether you are turning 18 or 80.
Many of us have had to cancel or change our birthday plans because of social distancing, so here is our edit of Party Pieces products and ideas to make your milestone birthday unforgettable, even without a big party.
Helium number balloons
Whatever birthday milestone you have reached, spelling out the number with our helium balloons will be an eye-catching centrepiece for your stay-at-home party. They always look great in photographs and on social media too.
If you’re organising an 18th or 21st party, our personalised Polaroid frames are always popular. Even though the birthday boy or girl can’t celebrate with all their friends, the frames will let them take some great shots for social media and will provide some fun for the family. It’s also a prop that will come in handy when the proper party with all their friends is finally allowed.
Glam party backdrops
If you’re having an online party during social distancing, the birthday boy or girl’s background should look on-point: a balloon arch will look fab behind you, as will one of our backdrops (There are plenty to choose from including streamer and gold heart ones). Take a look at our milestone decorations to turn your house into a party paradise.
Personalised birthday cakes
Plenty of people have started baking in lockdown, but if you don’t want to make a mess, then our personalised cakes, to which you can add pictures and messages to the top of the cake, are a lovely touch.
Confetti and candles
As with the backdrops, if you are doing a birthday party via Zoom or HouseParty, you want party decorations that will stand out. Your choice of cake can be embellished with number candles, while a confetti canon will get people’s attention in no time at all. Get your guests involved by sending them canons of their own to set off. You could also send them the same backdrop as yours to really help bring a sense of togetherness.
If you’re sending out decorations for an online party then add these fun headbands to the package. The milestone birthday such as 18, 21 or 50 is spelled out and wobbles away on springs attached to the headband, and when you put them on, the party turns from serious to silly in a second.
Have a great time!
