Celebrating Pride Month

It’s beginning to look a lot like Pride Month... While Pride parades have been postponed until later in the year, when bigger gatherings will hopefully be allowed, June is still the month to remember. So speak up and celebrate!

If you’re new to Pride Month, it takes place every year in June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots, when the LGBT+ community protested the police raid of the Stonewall Inn, New York. Pride Month is about campaigning for LGBT+ rights, as well as being a time to party!

If you are meeting up with friends to mark Pride Month 2021, here are our top picks of rainbow decorations, games, tableware and accessories for your Pride party...

1. Rainbow flags

Flags are the only place to start! While many variations are now available, if you’d like to go back to basics we have a classic rainbow flag on a stick, and plenty of options to fly one with a twist! Wear it as a cape or pop a pair on your head with these bigger-than-you-think deely boppers. Just right for both waves and raves.

Pride balloons

2. Rainbow decorations

Time to deck the halls! Particularly if you’re celebrating at home or in a pub garden. String up this jolly rainbow bunting, inflate a showstopping rainbow balloon arch to place over a doorway, bar or table, or go sweet and simple with these rainbow paper streamers

3. Pride-themed photobooth

Everyone loves a photobooth, and here’s a super-simple way to build your own. Simply inflate this rainbow frame, lay out this party pack of rainbow photo booth props, make a few slogans of your own and get snapping. Rainbow bright!

4. Rainbow accessories

If you need something to add a certain je ne sais quoi to your pride attire, go big or go home with these rainbow wings, rainbow tutu and rainbow sunglasses. This rainbow bag is both on-brand and practical, while the same could (almost!) be said for this rainbow umbrella hat.

5. Rainbow tableware

If you’re hosting a small Pride party or picnic, keep up the rainbow theme with your tableware to keep things as glam as one can. We have five ranges (two more than last year!): Sing A Rainbow, Pastel Rainbow, Birthday Brights Rainbow, Metallic Rainbow and Rainbow Stripe, and our absolute fave items from across these ranges include our Rainbow Fringe Party Cups which you cannot drink out of and be serious at the same time, and these Rainbow Stripe Party Hats which actually get funnier the more serious you try to look while wearing one. Our pastel wooden cutlery is both classy and reusable and these Rainbow Heart Large Plates look even better than the food you plan to put on them. Last but not least, if there’s cake involved (and there definitely should be!), our colour-changing rainbow cake fountain adds a ‘wow’ factor that traditional candles can’t touch.

6. Pride event games

A gang that plays together stays together, so why not order a Rainbow Pinata or Flamingo Pinata for you and your buddies, and compete to see who can thrash out the sweets the fastest. If you’re crafty and quiet, we sell Rainbow Pencils, and if you’re an active household with some outside space, how about a game of inflatable limbo?
