Let the music play!
The main element of any disco is, of course, the music. So making sure you get the playlist right for your party is vital. Spotify has a running list of the biggest songs of 2020, including the likes of The Weeknd, Dua Lipa and Harry Styles. If your family would prefer a mix of current hits and party classics, or songs from just the one genre, then curate your own playlist on whichever music platform you subscribe to. Dance offs are always likely at a kitchen disco, so be prepared, and have a long stick handy (an old broom will do!) to see how low everyone can go with a spot of limbo.Zoom time
With covid restrictions keeping people apart, why not spread the disco love by inviting friends from far and wide to join in the fun? All you need to do is share your playlist, co-ordinate a dress code and send your pals the same decorations you’ll be adorning your kitchen with – see below for our suggestions.
